Principles

The ideas troupe is built on.

Config, history and decisions live in git, on your machine. troupe doesn’t need a hosted service to work.

Tasks fork, join, swarm and loop, instead of one agent working in a line.

People hold roles the same way agents do, so each question goes to the person who owns it, not to whoever happens to be watching.

Before an agent asks anyone, it runs the research steps your project defines: check the issues, read the docs, look up the relevant standard. Then it brings a decision brief, not a bare question.

Every decision records who made it, human or agent, what it was based on, who approved it, and where its results went.

Agents are pluggable: use ours, or bring your own. The process doesn’t depend on one agent, so you can swap Claude Code for another without rewriting it.
